Find: Diane Von Furstenberg vintage silk wrap dress in hot pink

Found @: 2 Big Blondes Consignment Store (Central District)

Cost: $15 plus tax, about 1.5 hours to tailor and press at home

This is a beautiful hot pink DVF vintage wrap dress I stumbled upon while searching for the perfect summer wedding dress.  I literally almost passed it by because it looked strange on the hanger, but the luminous hot pink called to me so I had to try it on.

Alterations:  I am guessing that this dress was made in the mid-80’s due to the skirt hem.  I took in the skirt side seams to create a pencil skirt in order to flatter my very curvy figure.  Working with silk can be difficult for any seamstress, so I caution if you paid more then $50 for a silk garment I recommend getting it altered professionally to minimize flaws.
