Perfectly Polished
Perfectly Polished

I’m definitely not into
promoting large corporations especially in the beauty industry where ethics are
never quite pure.
As a child I would watch my
mother religiously paint her nails no matter what the occasion. I can’t count how many times she
painted her nails on the steering wheel of our van at a red light. Never understanding her obsession I
deemed it unnecessary, time consuming, and just an odd chore. Just recently have I slowly nurtured my
own love for perfectly polished nails.
A bit of history…
In 1937 Revlon developed a
unique manufacturing process using pigments instead of dyes to develop a
variety of new shades for opaque nail enamel. The company then began selling their products within
department and drug stores and in six years became a multimillion-dollar
organization.
