reconnecting with those we love most, this holiday season...


At times we lose connections with family and friends.  Feelings of hesitation along with guilt of time passed prevent us from picking up the phone.   Here are habits I use to reconnect and stay in touch with those I love most.
  1. Start by messaging.  Send an email, quick facebook message, or text message to warm things up.
  2. Mail a note and make sure to add your address and phone number just in case they need your updated information.
  3. Call.  I know calling is pretty direct if you’ve been out of touch for awhile, but it shoots straight to the point. 
Continue the habit...
Continue to send notes and cards throughout the year.  Expressing gratitude and appreciation for your connection will help seal the bonds of family ties, lasting friendships, and loyalty.
 
note: worst case scenario, the person you reach out to does not respond, in that case time and understanding are your best guide.
